3 Weeks and 3 Days to our 1st Wedding Anniversary

I can't believe it's exactly 3 weeks and 3 days to our 1st wedding anniversary, my last blog spookily was 3 weeks and 3 days exactly to the big day. So a year on and it's been an absolute whirlwind.

Firstly we had the most amazing day ever, all the guests said it was such a grown up wedding and such a beautiful day, and it really was the best day. We had rain up until the wedding day and had beautiful sunshine on the day of the wedding. The service was wonderful and very personal as the vicar knows us both very well, so it was lovely and very personal. The bridesmaids dresses looked amazing, considering the spanish bridesmaids had no fittings they looked wonderful. Matthew and I couldn't have asked for a better day, there was nothing that we would have changed or tweaked, we were sooooo lucky.

We had a gorgeous reception and even had an owl present in which all the guests could hold and have photo's taken with. The wedding breakfast was beautiful, we had the following choices:

Starter Selection

Finely Sliced Breast of Duck served on Chicory Leaves with Plum and Brandy Dressing
Or
Pear and Stilton Pate with Mixed Leaves, Apple and Tardebigge Cider Relish (V)

Main Meal
Boeuf Stroganof, Tender strips of Beef Fillet sautéed with Onions, Mushroom,
Cream and Brandy, served with Long Grain and Wild Rice
Or
Breast of Chicken served with wild mushrooms
and a Madeira sauce with accompanying Parsnip Crisps
Or
Open Ravioli of Spinach & Wild Mushrooms finished with White Wine Sauce
and Gruyere Cheese (V)

All Served with:
Selection of vegetables including, green beans; buttered carrots
and new Potatoes; broccoli and a dish of Sweet Potato Gratin

Dessert Selection
A Trio of desserts

We had a string quartet of the most amazingly talented young girls, one actually repenned the score of Bittersweet Symphony by the verve so we could walk out of the church to. And she was only aged 15!!!! The girl is so clever and it worked so well. It's my favourite piece of music and she did such a good job for me. We also had a wedding singer who sang 60's classics it was brill to finish the evening with.

For our Honeymoon we did a 4 week trip around Western America, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Utah, Death Valley, LA and Hawaii it was wonderful but even more so was that the wedding night we possibly made a baby. So the whole honeymoon we enjoyed every minute incase it was the last big holiday we were to go on for a while, and guess what we were right. We were pregnant.

We now have a ten week old baby girl. She was 2 weeks early and the birth was the most wonderful experience ever, completely nothing like I expected. The horror stories you are always told, certainly weren't true. I am such a wimp but on Gas and Air only I delivered a healthy, beautiful little girl.

Matthew and I have been truly blessed and thank God everyday for all the wonderful things he has given us. We have had such a big and busy year, and cannot believe since my last blog I have gotten Married and had a baby, a baby!!! I never dreamed of getting married let alone getting married and having a baby, whom I love unconditionally, it's such a consuming feeling, it's wonderful. Matthew has settled into being a wonderful Father, he is brilliant with our daughter and is a fantastic husband....I'm the luckiest girl on the planet. Well next to you dear reader, I'm sure you are lucky too.

3weeks and 3days and counting to the wedding

I have never in all my life been as excited as I am right now. Because in 3 weeks and 3 days I'm going to marry the man of my dreams. We're having a wonderful Church wedding at our church in which we attend regularly and absolutely can't wait..... I never thought I'd ever get married. I was asked in the bridal shop when I went to choose a dress on my own "Is this your dream dress"? As I stood in the mirror tearfully admiring my chosen dress...My answer was no it wasn't my dream dress as I'd never had a dream of getting married as I didn't think it would ever happen. I was always told your ugly, fat and made to feel pretty useless to be quite honest so why dream about things I felt were out of my control, and put my attentions to becoming a dancer which I was also told would also never happen. I can't believe it, God is obviously watching over me and I thank him all the time for what I have been given. It's such a gift to teach children to dance and I love it and I'm soooooo grateful for finding my soul mate and best friend Matthew, he's my world.

Now Girls if anyone tells you that you can't organise a wedding in less than 18 months trust me it's rubbish, I have organised this in less than 6 months, it's been sooooo much fun and everything that we dreamed of having we have achieved.

We are both very nervous about being under so much attention as both quite shy, but together I know we can get through it I'm sure with giggles and tears, I'm the biggest softie in the world and cry when I'm Happy and Sad, so can see many tears...I can watch OTH and sob, I can watch Just married and sob (At the end), I can watch the news and sob...LOL no I'm quite together but love happiness.

My dress details are under wraps until the day, I mean it is supposed to be bad luck for the groom too know any details, so just in case I'd best not say anything just yet.

The bridesmaids (5 children under 15 years of age) are wearing a lime yellow, sounds not as nice as it looks, it's such a beautiful spring colour. The girls are really excited about wearing them and are going for their fittings tomorrow. 2 of them live in Spain so are not having a fitting until the wedding day, but hey I'm not stressing whats the point, there's not a lot we can do about it.

I'm also having my fitting tomorrow, so will update then.

Ohhhhh I'm so excited xxx
